Judith Ritter speaks on 5th Anniversary Celebrations of the Rue Mumia Abu Jamal

A powerful anniversary celebration was held this past Saturday, April 30th in Saint-Denis, France, of the courageous naming of that street five years ago by Mayor Didier Palliard, Deputy to the Parliament, Patrick Brauoezec, and the Saint-Denis Mumia Committee. in lasting tribute to Mumia and the struggle to free him.

Many will recall that the Fraternal Order of Police went beserk when they heard of this honor beslowed upon Mumia and pressured three US legislative bodies to denounce that act: the City Council of Philadelphia, the State of Pennsylvania Senate and House, and the US House of Representatives.

The video's below marks this year's festive gathering which brought togethe delegations from the US - Judith Ritter speaks on latest legal developments in the case of Mumia Abu Jamal.Pam and Ramona Africa, Suzanne Ross and Bill Bachmann also attended the celebrations , the Pan African Society from London (10 people!), the Schiffmans from Germany, representatives from Guadaloupe, Guyana, and Belgium in addition to our French hosts.
